2025 4th International Conference on Materials Engineering and Applied Mechanics (ICMEAAE 2025) was successfully held in Xi'an, China from March 7 to 9, 2025!
ICMEAAE 2025 is hosted by Northwestern Polytechnical University, organized by Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, Taiyuan University of Science and Technology and Institute of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, co-organized by Advanced Electronic Packaging Materials and Structures Research Center and Zhejiang-Singapore Joint Laboratory for Urban Renewal and Future City. Our goal is to explore the latest advancements in materials engineering and applied mechanics, sharing knowledge and insights that will push the boundaries of our fields.
Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Professor Long Xu of Northwestern Polytechnical University, and Professor Li Dong, Dean of the School of Mechanics and Civil Architecture of Northwestern Polytechnical University, delivered a welcome speech, introduced the development status and important contributions of the school's mechanics discipline, and emphasized the core role of materials engineering and applied mechanics in aerospace, energy and environmental protection and other important fields.

Invited Speech
This conference invited many famous scholars and experts in the field of materials engineering and applied mechanics to share the research progress and important achievements. Prof. Baoping Zou from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, China, Prof. Changcong Zhou from Northwestern Polytechnical University, China, Assoc. Prof. Kim Shyong Siow from The National University of Malaysia, Malaysia, Assoc. Prof. Ronghai Wu from Northwestern Polytechnical University, China, Assoc. Prof. Qizhi Chen from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, China, Prof. Valentina Salomoni from University of Padova, Italy, Prof. Ahmad Zuhairi Abdullah from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia, Dr. Yan Ma from Taiyuan University of Science and Technology, China and Assoc. Prof. Low Siew Chun from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia gave an invitation report, which not only showed the latest research results, but also deeply discussed the challenges and opportunities in current research and industry application. The contents of the report provided the participants with valuable knowledge and perspectives, and promoted the exchanges and cooperation among the participating experts and scholars.
Parallel Session
The meeting specially set up two parallel sub-venues, which were presided over by Professor Chang Chao and Associate Professor Chen Qizhi respectively. It attracted nearly 60 outstanding experts and scholars from different universities and research institutes to participate. In the sub-session, participants shared their latest achievements in their respective research fields through oral reports and poster displays. Each speaker fully demonstrated the depth and breadth of his research and brought original and enlightening insights.
Closing Ceremony
During the meeting, the participants discussed in depth the research results in their respective fields and shared valuable experiences and opinions. Through colorful keynote speeches, special discussions and parallel sessions, participants had in-depth exchanges on the current frontier issues of science and technology in the fields of materials engineering and applied mechanics, which laid a good foundation for future research cooperation and promoted the deep integration of applied mechanics and materials engineering.
