His primary research interests are plasma modifications, sintered bonding (electronics packaging) and TRIZ. His past 21 years of working experiences range from technology identification, initial fundamental research, applied research, and technology scale-up to mass-production (e.g., QFN package and Pb free plating in the 2000s). Before joining UKM, he has worked as a materials-plating engineer in multi-national companies (i.e., Infineon Technologies and Onsemiconductor) and the National University of Singapore, as well as a technology transfer officer at the commercialization arm of A*STAR research institutes.
