Prof. Xu Long🎓︎

Abstract: Long Xu is a professor and PhD supervisor at Northwestern Polytechnical University. He is a national-level young talent, an IAAM Fellow, and an IEEE Senior Member, and has been included in Stanford University’s list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists for three consecutive years. He studied at Tongji University, the Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He joined Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2014 and has long been dedicated to research in the extreme mechanics of chip packaging and protective structures, with a focus on multiscale coupled mechanical modeling, power interconnect reliability, and related areas. He has led dozens of national, provincial, and industry-academia-research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 130 SCI papers, authored four monographs in Chinese and English, and obtained multiple patents and software copyrights. He has received numerous awards at home and abroad, including the IAAM Distinguished Scientist Award and the First Prize for Science and Technology of Shaanxi Universities. He has long been committed to academic research and the industrial application of related achievements.

Abstract: Changcong Zhou is a full Professor in the Department of Engineering Mechanics, Northwestern Polytechnical University. His research focuses on uncertainty quantification, covering structural reliability, sensitivity analysis, and optimization design. He is the author and co-author of over 70 journal papers and a book. He has led research projects funded by government bodies and enterprises, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
